Hi, I’m Versace! My foster family calls me V, or Sachie. Due to me being primarily deaf, I wouldn’t know it. I was lucky enough to be rescued by this fantastic organization. So I took my journey from Texas to Minnesota to find my forever home!

Life before arriving in Minnesota was not kind to me. I didn’t get to enjoy being a puppy. I am fur-sure making up for that now with my foster family! Let’s get the odd stuff out of the way before I tell you about all my amazing qualities…

I can sometimes be spooked during nighttime. Maybe some would say I’m scared of the dark? Not being able to hear well messes with my mind a little I think. If I’m in a dark place and can see light from another room, like a tv flashing, it wigs me out a bit and I may let out a bark or growl, maybe both. I don’t mean any harm in it though. Same thing with seeing humans move in the house when it’s dark. I am really trying to work through my fears though. I am getting very close to being potty trained. I do not #2 in the house and always make sure to ask for help. I do however seem to get bored and think it’s time to empty my bladder in the house on occasion. Even when foster mom takes me out a ton everyday. Now I have to be leashed and follow her all over the place in the house. No freedom for me, oh brother!

I love to have stuff in my mouth! Toys, yak chews, paper towel rolls, plastic bottles from the recycling. I am mischievous like that. Like I said, I’m living that puppy lifestyle late in the game. BTW, did you know I’m 9 months old? I have so much to discover! I will continue to work on being the best I can be. Promise!

Ok, now onto the magnificent things about me. I love having a foster brother. In fact I will need a fur brother in my forever home as well. I just do best having a brother, what can I say? We wrestle and play outside, sometimes twice per day if I’m lucky. He’s old, so I have to listen to Grandpa if he says he doesn’t want to play. I am also the best cuddling dog you will ever meet. I love to take good naps as long as I can be close to my humans. I just love attention. I also have the softest fur and prettiest eyes. I go in my crate well, but always love it if a treat is involved. I may whine a little but calm quickly. I probably would be a great dog for walks to get extra energy burned off. That would be nice. I also take baths well and let my foster mom trim my nails. It’s like a spa day! I currently also live in a home with older kids, which is probably best given I am still learning when not to use my mouth on stuff. They are just the best with being patient with me.
