Hey there!! My name is Aurora, and let’s be honest, I truly run this show….with my mom’s help ;) My official job title is Dog Tester Extraordinaire. My job is that I go with my mom Sara, the Director/Founder, to EVERY potential dog intake, and I am the one that gets to meet and greet the new dog to see how they react to other dogs. I get to do this because I am so even keeled, and nothing phases me. Let me tell you a little bit about my story. My mom was working with another organization and went to do a meet and greet of another dog at the shelter. I had been found tied up to a pole in Minneapolis in the dead of winter looking like I do in my BEFORE picture. No one knew my story of how I got there or why I looked like I did, but they knew it was going to be costly to treat me. Due to this reason, I was scheduled for euthanasia. When my mom got to the shelter to see the other dog, she was called over to see me. My butt began to wiggle so fast, and I was so excited to see her even though I didn’t know who she was. The person that ran the rescue my mom worked for had to convince the shelter that the rescue could afford my care because they knew it was going to be very costly, and they agreed to let the rescue take me with a plan in place. The rescue agreed to let my mom foster me while I got better. Two weeks after I left the shelter to live with my mom, her soul dog passed away, and she was devastated. I made a promise to my mom that day that if she helped me get better and prove that people could truly be good to animals, that I would help her heal her heart and learn to love another dog again. That was 7 years ago, and you can see how amazing I have become!! My mom adopted me, and here I am today, running, I mean helping my mom run UnbreakaBULL. My mom has an amazing love for all her other dogs and all the dogs she takes in, but there is a special bond between her and I that only we can explain and that will always be our little secret. Well, I’m off to meet and greet your next furever friend, so have a great day, and remember, TOGETHER we are UnbreakaBULL!!! Love, Aurora

Sara Romdenne (Founder & Executive Director) Hey I’m Sara the Executive Director! I started in rescue 10 years ago and have fostered about 100 Pit Bulls. I got into rescue because of my soul mate dog Jag who tragically passed away. He showed me the truth. He was everything. Every day I visit shelters in the Twin Cities and I work so hard to save our local Pit Bulls on death row. This is what I do. I live rescue. I will not stop until there are no more dogs to save. Educate. Advocate. Rescue.

Danyell Gilley (Adoption/Foster and Petfinder Coordinator) Hi there! I’ve been volunteering with UnbreakaBULL and fostering for over 10 years. I currently am our Adoption and Foster Coordinator and run our Petfinder account in making sure that our dogs are featured under our rescue and that their bio’s are up to date. I have had up to a dozen fosters so far and am always open for more!

Katrina Eliason (Vet Tech) I always joke that I became a crazy cat and dog lady at the tender age of 3- I grew up on a farmhouse where we always had cats/kittens, cows and a family labrador named Bo. I graduated from Globe University with my B.S. in Veterinary Management in 2013 and worked as a certified veterinary technician (CVT) for 5 years. While working in veterinary, I fell in love with the pitbull breed group and got my own pitbull mix, Penny in 2017. I became involved with UnbreakaBull in early 2021 when Penny went to live with my ex and I saw a posting for a dog who needed a foster. I have been hooked on fostering ever since- 14 dogs from UnbreakaBull have called this place home for a short while in the last 2 years. I became the veterinary coordinator for UnbreakaBull in March of 2022 and love working with all the other volunteers who help this rescue save these amazing dogs. I live in Saint Paul with my foster fail (UnbreakaBull alumni) Moose and 3 cats: Brandy, Renley and Finn. In my free time I love to train and compete in agility and rally with Moose.

Hi! My name is Tammy Krohn (Application Coordinator). I have been volunteering for Unbreakabulls for about 4 years. I have always had a love for dogs and my heart aches when I see one in need. So, I decided to take action by volunteering at a shelter by giving walks and graduated from obedience school February 2020. It gives me joy to see a dog go to their forever home from a tough situation to begin with. I spend most of my time with my own dogs and my fosters. However, if you don't catch me with one of the dogs, I'm most likely planning a new recipe for dinner or researching activities to do with my two grandkids. What I find most relaxing is organizing my house or going on a hike.
