Hi, I’m Teddy AKA Brutus — short for Ted E. Bear — and I’m about 2 years old. I might look tough with my cropped ears and the scars from my past, but I’m really just a big-hearted gentleman who wants love, comfort, and a forever family. I came into rescue underweight and with a story no dog deserves, but none of that dimmed my sweetness or goofy charm.

Here’s a little about me:

I’m a true teddy bear. Gentle, affectionate, and happiest when I’m close to you. I love greeting you with my prized toy in my mouth — whatever you give me becomes my treasure.

Fetch superstar. I don’t just chase the ball — I bring it right back every single time.

Squeaky toy destroyer (with enthusiasm). It’s one of my talents.

I’m incredibly smart. I already know many commands, and I’m eager to learn anything you want to teach me.

Potty training: PERFECT. I am fully potty-trained and have zero accidents. I’ve got this part down completely.

Crate trained & comfy. My crate is my safe space. I sleep in my crate, I eat in my crate, and I settle in with no issues at all.

My foster siblings: • My 15-year-old chihuahua foster sister isn’t totally sure about me yet. When she’s not trying to rip my face off (which I somehow find cute), I follow her gently and try to snuggle when she allows it. My 80-pound foster brother is an older guy who sleeps more than anything. He doesn’t always want to cuddle inside — but outside? We wrestle like champs, and it’s super pawesome.

I’d thrive with another dog, but I’d also be happy being your one and only. I’m flexible, polite, playful, and loving. Most important: I’m an equal-opportunity affection-giver with a huge heart. Whoever you are, I already love you. I’m ready for adventures, treats, training, snuggles, and finding the person or family who will love me back.
