Hey there!! It’s Steve-O here! What’s in a name? Well, I’m not sure. My name is really Steve, but my foster dad calls me Steve-O because he thinks it fits my personality. I am a 11 month old Pitador. What is that you say? Well, I am a lab and pit mix. I was in the shelter and wanting to get out, but no one was coming to get me. Then I finally got my big breakout with Unbreakabull! I am truly living the life!! I am doing so great and rocking this house life. I am good with other dogs and kids. I love running and playing, snuggling, and just being a puppy. I am learning to sleep in my kennel and be good there. I let you know when I need to go outside to go potty. I have the funniest faces and can even smile and show you my teeth! I live with a cat, and I am very curious, but I am easily moved along if you tell me to leave the cat be. I am just very interested in this fur thing that is not a dog, but I’m not mean to it. My main goal in life is to just be held. I will approach you and put my paws up, but it's not out of excitement like other dogs. I just will sit there and give you a hug and gentle kisses. I will stay there holding you for as long as you can stand me. I was recently diagnosed with heartworms. First, this is not a contagious thing to humans or other animals. It’s something that lives in my body. Second, I am being treated for it, and the rescue is paying for all of my costs for medicine and treatment. Thirdly, when I am treated and cured, yes, this is a curable disease, I will be 100% with no lasting effects from it. The process for treatment, however, is a long process. While it is paid for by the rescue, the hard work will come with my forever family during the treatment process. The treatment will take 90 days in total and 60 of those days is complete kennel rest other then to go out and go potty or eat and drink. I can be with my adoptive family during this time, but I need to be kept still and safe until my treatment is complete so that I can be completely healed.
