Hi! I’m Ryder!

I came into rescue from a local shelter and I was suuuuper stressed out from the shelter experience. Those days are long behind me now and I have been doing great since going through a board & train program. I am still living with my trainer and she says I am one of the easiest dogs in her care currently. I am kennel trained, potty trained, and walk nicely on a leash. I get along with all dogs (male, female, big, small, doesn’t matter) but I especially like calm female dogs and enjoy their company the most. I will probably do best with slower intros in a new home as all the change will be a lot for me and I will need time to really settle in. I really LOVE balls and am just a bit obsessive about them. I will not start fights over them but I do not like to share my ball. I also need specific kinds of balls because in the past I have chewed them up and eaten the pieces. I would do best in a home without little kiddos as they do make me a bit nervous and their excitement and energy levels would be too much for me. I also really like having structure and routine in my life so I know what to expect day to day. I would be a great adventure buddy but I also love just lounging around. I have a couple quirks but all in all I think I am a pretty great guy and I can’t wait to find my forever family.
