Hi! My name is Ruth, and I am 4 years old. I was in a shelter in Alabama until UnbreakaBull rescued me. I am doing great in my foster home learning how to be a dog. I LOVE playing with my toys and being by my humans. I am so sweet and just want to cuddle and give kisses. I do great in my kennel with minimal noise. My fosters have never heard me bark at other dogs even if they are barking at me. Speaking of other dogs, while I do not react to them outside my home, I’d prefer not to live with another dog but I have done well with docile male dogs. I just don't like hyper dogs and honestly, I just love people so much more. Dogs that are too hyper make me nervous. My foster mom is so proud of me for the progress I have made since coming here. I am 100% potty trained. I am learning basic obedience training right now and my foster is very happy with my progress, she calls it manners, and when I listen I get treats, so I do my best to do what I think she is telling me to do. I follow my fosters wherever they go. They say that they are lucky to have a dog like me in their life that is a little more on the mellow side, although I still do like getting my energy out. I would love a fenced in backyard although it is not a requirement. I do very well on my leash and am doing a good job at staying by my fosters side while on it. I don't think I could live with a cat. I met one before and barked at it and wasn't really wanting to be friends. I do like kids a lot and lived with a 4 yr. old in my first foster home, but I really love food and treats so the rescue thinks older respectful kids are best for me. I am truly a love and just want to snuggle next to the ones I love so much.
