HELLO RUDY!
Well hello to all of you!!! Let my introduce myself. My name is Rudy. I am 1 year old, and I am the happiest little guy in the world. I was rescued by some amazing people who are my foster family. The story behind my name is super sweet. My foster family had a dear friend who served the country. I don’t know exactly what that means, but they talk about how I reminded them of him because of my fun, goofy, and friendly nature. Since he is no longer with them, I don’t know what that means either, they named me after him so that he was always with them. They know that they are not my forever family, but they felt I deserved a special name. While I am only 1 year old, I am so smart!!! When you talk to me, I always look you in the face because I want to make sure that I am doing exactly as you are wanting, plus I get treats when I pay close attention and I love treats, so I am always a good student. Snuggles!!! Has anyone ever told you about those? Oh my goodness! I didn’t know what those were until I came to my foster home, and they are AMAZING!! I love to snuggle on the couch with the grown-ups, and my human foster brothers. I also get to sleep in their beds with them and that is the best!! No one has told me I snored yet, so that is a good thing. :) There are times when I can’t be with my foster family, and I have to go in my kennel. I don’t mind it at all. It’s not a place I prefer because I like to be snuggling with people, but I will go if I need to. Toys! Those are right up there is snuggles!! I love to play fetch, tug, and chew on my bones and toys. I am learning that there is a difference between my toys and my human brothers toys. There have been a few incidents where stuffed animals ended up all over the place, but how was I to know. It seemed fun at the moment. Since I am still a puppy, I am learning that rough play is not acceptable play. I do listen when I am told to settle, but I still need reminders every now and then. There are so many things that are exciting about being a puppy!! I love going on walks, and I am learning the word “heel” because I tend to want to pull, but I’ve not had a lot of practice before now on walking on a leash. I am not a barker unless someone knocks on the door. I’m just trying to make sure that I am the doorbell if you don’t have one. When I’m told not to bark I stop, and I only do it when someone knocks. Hey, I look at it as I’m just trying to save you money with the electrician or on batteries. I LOVE riding in the car!! That is so fun. Things go by so fast, but the breeze in my hair feels so good. I am learning to go potty outside, but I’ve never had to do that before. I’ve always just gone where I was at, but I’m getting better every day and have had only a few accidents in the house. When it comes to other dogs, they are my friends!! I haven’t met one that I don’t like and want to play with. There are these little things at my house that the humans call guinea pigs, and I am very curious about them. I haven’t been mean to them, but I want to know more about them. For now, the humans have kept them away from me just to be safe. Well, that’s a lot of talking and now I’m ready for a nap. That’s a lot of information for a little guy to remember. So, while I’m waiting for you to come and get me, I’m going to take a little nap, maybe con some treats out of the humans, and even better, get them to take me for a car ride. Maybe I’ll pass you on the way!!! See you soon! Love, Rudy
