Hello, my name is Phoenix (formerly Melia), and I am almost 8 months old. My current household has another dog (Jack Russell Terrier), who is my best friend and a little human who is 9 years old. I love playing and cuddling with both of them. We all get the zoomies, so we jump and run around until we wear ourselves out and plop down in her our beds.

I am proud to say that I’m fully potty-trained! I go to the back door to when I need to potty. Sometimes, my family doesn’t notice me right away, so I let out one loud bark to get their attention.

And… I know basic commands! I will “sit”, “stay” and get “down” (most of the time), especially if you have a treat for me. I’m still a puppy, so one of my favorite activities is chewing. I love puzzles, chew toys, and anything else that keeps me busy. My typical schedule includes sleeping, playing, and cuddling. I go on walks and to the park, and I do EXCELLENT on my leash! I get pretty nervous around new dogs and new people, but I do warm up eventually. It’s not my style to be aggressive – I just need time and space to get comfortable. The good news is, I don’t wander very far at the park! I check in frequently, because I want to know where my family is at all times. My foster family says that I would be the perfect addition to any family, and I deserve a wonderful & loving forever home! (updated 1.18.2022)
