Patty Cakes can't bake you a cake, but she is as sweet as one is!!!

Patty Cakes came to rescue after her owner was sent to prison and his family just let her out as they didn't want to care for her. We don't know much about her previous life, besides she had several liters and her ears were cut off inhumanely. Despite all that, Patty is the most loving, kind and gentle dog you could ever meet!!!

Patty just loves affection and to be told how amazing she is and how beautiful she is. She likes to give hugs and to be very close to her people. She could lay on the couch with you for hours and be in her happy place.

Patty is great in her kennel. She really likes her kennel if she needs to go in. She sleeps in her dog bed and is very quiet. She loves a good bone to chew on and is happy for any treat she gets!!

Patty is mostly potty-trained, however she still will have a pee accident every once in a while. She hasn't quite figured out how to let you know she has to go out, but she is very good if she is on a schedule. She keeps her kennel clean always.

Patty is excellent with other dogs too. She is really calm and doesn't pay other dogs much attention at all. She isn't a huge player with other dogs, but she can co-exist with them just fine. She hasn't had any reactions at all to other dogs. She is extremely well-balanced in this department and her temperament is amazing!!

Patty lives with an 8 yr. old human kid, and she has been wonderful with her. She does like her space so a kid climbing on her or laying on her wouldn't be her favorite thing. For this reason, we recommend kids 5 and older. Not because she is aggressive at all, just because she does like to be respected with her boundaries, like all dogs do.

Patty has not been around cats at all so we have no info on that, but she likely would be fine with a cat that is dog savvy and just co-exists with her.

Patty is the definition of a true gem. A perfect dog for a first time dog owner or just anyone that wants the best friend they could ever imagine. You just can not go wrong adding Patty to your family. She is the total package and will make someone or some family EXTREMELY lucky!!
