A word from Louisa’s foster:

Affectionately called "Lou." She is a loving and energetic girl who loves human attention. She will stick like glue to the person of her choosing. She is vocal when you give her pets and rubs - its the cutest noise. She gets excited when you come home and needs a gentle reminder to "settle." She enjoys her treats and needs a verbal reminder of "gentle" when being presented them. She is kennel trained. She is a bit of an early bird and likes to go potty first thing in the morning. She has been blessed with always having humans around, so kennel time has been used for bedtime and errands only. I feel she would acclimate to any schedule. She has gotten used to a larger fenced in yard. So walks havent been in her routine. She does enjoy car rides. Lou is powerful and can run fast, so we always supervise play in the backyard with the other dogs and her. She responds quickly when corrected. She has shown food guarding-so do all feedings, even snacks in a different area than other dogs. She has been great at sharing a water bowl, but we lift the food bowls when not in use. She has gotten used to gourmet meals-but she would be grateful for all food. Her current schedule is 2 meals a day, with a biscuit around noon and a high reward treat at bedtime. She will "dance" all the way to her kennel and eating spot for you. She has done great with our 2 year old. She enjoys being petted and rolls on her back. She enjoys children. I would keep food and snacks complete seperate from children and Lou. Lou will steal your heart. Give her the time and guidance and she will return it ten fold.
