Well hello there! Let me introduce myself. My name is Kiona, and I am the sweetest thing on 4 legs that you are ever going to meet. My beginning story is one of sadness and neglect, but my current story is full of happiness and hope, so let’s go with that portion of my life. I am 4 years young, and I am just starting to understand what true love and joy is. If you are a human, adult or especially a child, get ready for some serious love and affection. I absolutely LOVE LOVE LOVE my people!!! If you want kisses and cuddling, then sit right down and get ready because that’s my specialty. I do good with other dogs, and there are no issues there, but I am not super affectionate with them, and I am learning how to welcome them into my world without nervousness. Where my true love lies is with my foster fur kitty sibling! OMG I could love on the kitty all day! I would absolutely love a fenced in yard, but by no means is this a requirement. I have a natural tendency to wander, so I would need to be leashed if I am outside without a yard. I absolutely love going on walks, and I do great when I am on my leash, but man there are human strangers that startle me when they approach and loud dogs that bark at me when I am walking. What is that all about? I’m just trying to learn my new world, and I get very shy when I encounter them, but I am learning that they mean well and that I am still growing and learning that my world is safe. I am not aggressive in the least, I just need reassurance in these situations that I am doing great and that I am safe. I am so eager to please my humans and make sure that they know that I am the bestest girl in the world. My shell is opening a little more each and every day, and I’m teaching the humans a little more about me more and more, but all they see is amazing, and they make sure to tell me that all the time.
