Hi I’m Kayla! I’m about four months old and I don’t know where I came from or who my parents were, but my foster mom thinks I am part German Shepherd because of my coat and gorgeous eyes (she says my eyeliner is “on point”). When I first got to my foster house both of my ears were floppy, but now they both stick up with a little flop at the tips. Who knows what they will do as I get older, but I think I look pretty cute now. I was transported up to MN from TX, and when I first got here, I was very timid and skittish. I didn’t want to move or do anything. Over the next few days, I gained more and more confidence and I get better each day! I have two foster siblings, a 50 lb female and 80 lb male. I like to follow the female around because she is closer to my size, but I think she gets annoyed with me. The bigger male is very patient with me, but he often hides downstairs where I’m not allowed. For the first few days I just watched my foster siblings play, but I was too scared to join. Now I run and play with them and have a great time! Sometimes my little legs can’t keep up with them, but I still have fun. I have learned that sticks are the greatest thing ever and love to chew on them outside. Inside I love chewing on bones and any other toy I am allowed to play with. Sometimes I find things that look fun but my foster mom takes them away, and I usually leave them alone after that. I am starting to learn some tricks like “sit” and “lay down”. Mostly I’m just learning how to be a dog! I have lots of puppy energy and LOVE being outside. I can get crazy inside too but during the day I usually sleep while my foster mom works. I don’t like being left alone, and I will cry if I am left in the kennel by myself. I do a little better if I am in a room with another dog, but I still don’t like it. At night I go in my kennel just fine and I sleep quietly until I notice my foster mom is awake. I am getting a lot better at going potty outside too. Sometimes I can’t help it and have an accident inside, but every day is better, and my foster mom is really proud of my progress! Overall, I’m just a puppy who wants to have fun. If you want to play with me and watch me grow, fill out an adoption application so we can meet! Until then, I’ll find some more sticks to chew on.

Love, Kayla.
