jOLENE!

Now, when you hear my name, I’m sure the first thought you had was a famous song with my name in it where I am the beautiful girl who is being begged not to take away the other girls man. A love triangle. Well, first off, I’m sorry if now you are singing that song in your head all day. Secondly, I’m not out to steal anyone from anyone, but I am here to steal your heart! Let me give you a little bit of information about me. I am 4 years old, and I had been at the shelter the longest of all the other dogs. All I wanted was a home to call my own, but for some reason I kept getting passed up. I am super sweet, super sensitive, and all I want to do is please my person. I just want to love someone. When I get treats, I take them so gently that you’ll hardly know it went missing from your hand. Butt scratches!! Whoever discovered those is a genius!! I absolutely LOVE them, and I will sit all day and let you scratch me if you offer. I would get to have play dates when I was in the shelter and that was nice because it gave me time to meet other dogs and have some fun playing. I did better with the big boys when I played than the girls, so it’s recommended that I only have a male fur friend. I may be 4 years old, but I can hang with the best of the boys, and my play style has said to be kind of rowdy. I’m not sure what that means completely, but sometimes I get playing and get so excited and rough in my play that the humans have to ask me and my friends to take a break. I am not mean, so please don’t confuse rowdy with mean. I just have a lot of energy when I play, so I can sometimes get excited and need a reminder to take a break. If I had a fur friend in my new home, I would love if they liked to play like I do, but I would also need a human who can notice when things are getting a little too rowdy, there’s that word again, and ask us to take a break. I promise that we won’t get into too much trouble. I am a very good listener, so when I am told to stop, I do stop and take a break. They think I’m just relaxing, but really I’m just recharging the battery. They say potato, I say potauto. Due to my excited play behavior and wanting to chase things, I can’t be around cats or small dogs. I am crate trained, potty trained, and I do great on a leash when I went for walks. I do best with kids that are 5 and older simply because I have a lot of energy and there is concern that I would knock over a small child and hurt them. Not intentionally, but on accident, and we don’t want anyone scared. Well, although I am gorgeous and only like to be around the boys, I promise the only thing that I am looking to steal is your heart, so if you are ready to have your heart stolen and be loved on the rest of your life by me, then head on over and fill out my application and make me yours forever. ‘Til we meet in person. Love, Jolene
