Hi! I’m Jaxx, and I might just be the perfect mix of playful puppy energy and full-on snuggle bug. At almost 2 years old, I’ve still got that youthful bounce—I love to run, play with my tennis ball, and chew on bones. But don’t worry, once the fun is done, I’m all about the couch cuddles. I’m a total lover boy and will happily curl up beside you to relax.
Why I am the best choice for you:
Great in my kennel. I will whine a bit if I hear you, but normally that goes away pretty quickly. I can make it the entire day when in there if my fosters go to the office.
Great with other dogs and meeting new dogs. I will normally bow and let them initiate play, then become the ground shark I am and slide around and gnaw on legs. I have been around many different dogs in my foster home, and done great with all of them.
I have energy for days and LOVE to play outside in a fenced in yard. I will normally keep myself occupied by running with a ball or frisbee in my mouth.
I am very affectionate and love to be with my “human”. My favorite in my foster home is the 22 year old daughter. I follow her everywhere and sleep at the base of her bed sometimes if she lets me, if not I sleep in my kennel. I will go outside and just hang out with her while she relaxes in the sun, or I will just sleep on teh floor in her room while she does things. I will normally have all new people I meet scratch my belly and try to side hug them.
I normally stay out of trouble when out of my kennel. The worst you get out of me is grabbing a toilet paper roll and bringing it out to you. I don’t chew it up, I just like to carry it around so they have to be kept on the counter if you have a slide off toilet paper holder.
I am great in public and love to go walk around Home Depot or Tractor Supply and just meet people. I don’t have any fear of really anything, so I am pretty easy going in new areas.
I get along great with my foster sisters—we wrestle and play a lot! I do very well meeting new dogs. I will bow down and normally let them make the first move to play. I have meet quite a few puppies and had no issues with them, and I adjust my playstyle very well to the dog I am playing with. I am pretty passive as far as playing goes, I will run with them but won’t knock them down. I would do very well with a friend to play with. I love to run up and down the fence with my best friend who lives next door. I would need a fenced in yard if I am going to be let outside on my own. I enjoy running and playing, and without limits I would probably run forever.
I'm smart and super treat-motivated, which makes training a breeze! I already know “sit” and “come,” and I’m excellent at listening when someone says “no.” Cats are interesting to me, but I normally check them out and then go about my business. I have meet the neighbor’s cats while out playing with their dog, and it went fine.
I enjoy daily exercise or some sort of mental stimulation, since I have a lot of energy and enjoy playing. I love to play fetch, and will let you know when I am tired by just not coming back with the ball. Walking is also a lot of fun because I get to meet other people and see lots of interesting things.
I am good in the car, and I enjoy going out to meet new people. I adjust to the other dogs very well, and normally will just bow and stay on the ground and let them sniff. I have yet to have any issues with all the different dogs I have met. I would be a great partner for your trips to Home Depot or other places that allow dogs.
