Hi! I’m Jaxx, and I might just be the perfect mix of playful puppy energy and full-on snuggle bug. At 1.5 years old, I’ve still got that youthful bounce—I love to run, play with my tennis ball, and chew on bones. But don’t worry, once the fun is done, I’m all about the couch cuddles. I’m a total lover boy and will happily curl up beside you to relax.

I get along great with my foster sisters—we wrestle and play a lot! I can sometimes get a little too excited, but I’m learning to read the room and respond well to gentle corrections. I'm smart and super treat-motivated, which makes training a breeze! I already know “sit” and “come,” and I’m excellent at listening when someone says “no.” Cats are a bit too interesting to me and I fixate on them, so I shouldn’t live with a feline friend unless we can be kept apart. I am fine around smaller dogs, so it is not a prey drive issue.

I would need a fenced in yard if I am going to be let outside on my own. I enjoy running and playing, and without limits I would probably run forever. My current foster is using a vibration collar to get my attention to come back in, and it has worked very well. But I also love to play with other dogs, so if I am going to live next to neighbor dogs, I will try to play with them through the fence.

I will need daily exercise or some sort of mental stimulation, since I have a lot of energy and enjoy playing. I am very good at fetch outside, and also enjoy walks. Getting me tired out makes life a lot easier for everyone.

I am good in the car, and I enjoy going out to meet new people. I need slower introductions to strange dogs, especially males, but I get along with most and am great in a public setting. I would be a great partner for your trips to Home Depot or other places that allow dogs.
