It makes me so proud to share Isaac’s bio. Isaac (who I very affectionately call Charlie Brown) is the sweetest and loveable boy. He was found as a stray. He was probably homeless for a while as he was underweight and had a severe break to his left shoulder. As soon as I saw him posted (looking for rescue), I decided to commit to him. I had a feeling he was going to need an amputation and I wanted him to be with me. I was asked to bring one of my dogs to do a “dog test” with him. All I had to do was bring one of my dogs and have him outside the kennel run and Isaac went up to the fence and did a play bow. It was very obvious that he had no reactivity to other dogs.

When Isaac came into my home, he fit right in. I have three dogs of my own and normally have one or two fosters. It just so happened that for a while he was with 5 other dogs. He made instant friends and soon became best friends with Webber (another Unbreakabull adoptable dog). Webber is a 6-month old low riding Norweigan House Hippo and he loves his Uncle Charlie. He also is a wonderful playmate to my deaf Unbreakabull alum Blockhead and has also gone a few rounds with Muffin (another Unbreakabull dog). He has the perfect amount of energy. He will play for hours. If he needs a break, he will wander into his kennel and take a nap. In the evening, he is a perfect snuggle buddy. Again - he is perfect.

He had his amputation on Monday, May 4. Today is Thursday, May 7. He has been on kennel rest to give him the opportunity to rest and heal. BUT! Today he went up and down the stairs all by himself. I was carrying him but he did NOT appreciate that. It may have been he was in pain when I was holding him. I was surprised that he adjusted so well, but then again, I think he was putting as little pressure on it because of the pain the break was causing him. I know he is ready to start playing again, but he is on strict rest until the staples come out on 5.18.

If I did not have 3 dogs of my own, I would adopt him without hesitation.. He has such good manners and is pottie trained. He had a home and for whatever reason, he was picked up as a stray and was probably without a home for a while. But you would never know. He has put on weight and is just an overall resilient dog. He has such a beautiful soul and I can’t say enough about him. If you want a perfect boy for your home, look no further. If you would like to meet him, please fill out an application to meet him

I will post more pictures once his surgical site heals.
