Hi! I’m Hazel! I’m about 16 weeks old and I am looking for my furever family! I currently live with my foster siblings who are “older” puppies who love to play and two resident cats. I especially love to play “keep away” with them and my favorite toys and, because I’m kind of a peanut, I can play hide and seek with them too! I am respectful of the cats’ space, especially when they tell me I need to be, but every once in a while they will let me play with them too! I can entertain myself with toys as well, as I love to hop around with my cute waggly tail.
My foster humans say I am a smarty pants and catch on very quickly. I have learned how to sit, do “watch me,” and I’m learning “down”. Treats are a great motivator! I watch my humans very attentively. I’m also doing very well at potty training, and I can even sleep through the night! Consistency and schedule are key for me to do my best, and treats sure don’t hurt either! I’m learning how to be in my kennel during the day. I know how to go into my kennel well and it helps if I have a Kong with some treats. I do prefer to sleep with my foster dog siblings or humans because did I mention I am a SUPER snuggler. I prefer to be touching one of the humans or other dogs (or preferably both), especially when it is time to settle or nap/sleep, which I am very good at. I do well with re-direction, especially if I find something I’m not supposed to have and I’m given one of my toys instead. I’m learning so much about being a dog from my foster siblings, including walking on a leash, eating all my food, and going potty outside! I am the sweetest, happiest, snuggliest little girl who would love to meet my furever family. I also love my 8-year-old foster human and other neighborhood kids, and they love me because I’m gentle and love to give kisses. Please fill out an application if you want to meet me!
