GEORGE!!!

GOOD with dogs, GOOD with kids, UNKNOWN with cats

“Georgie, porgie, puddin’, and pie, kissed the girls and made them cry.” While I don’t make the girls cry, I am quite the charmer and am sweet as pie. Hey there! My name is George, I am 2 years old, and my eyes are the windows to my soul. I came to Unbreakabull after a group of us were removed from a hoarding situation. We weren’t taken very good care of, but that has all changed since I came to rescue. When I got to my foster home, I was extremely scared of everything and very skittish about sounds and movements. I am getting better with this, but I am still very shy and nervous around new things. When I got to the rescue it was discovered that I had Lymes Disease. I was started on an antibiotic right away and was told that it would take care of it. I was told that I wouldn’t have any lifelong issues with it, but that I will need to get my kidneys checked yearly by my vet, but I was told they would know what to do and that I didn’t have to worry about it. I am learning that cuddling is an amazing thing, and I will see out this behavior from the humans that I live with. I just want to be where my people are. I am learning that humans are good and that I feel good when I am with them. There are other dogs in my foster home, and I am getting to play with them a little bit at a time. I am doing well with them, and I am learning how to be a dog from them. I get so excited when I see the humans come in when they have been gone, and I rush to give them kisses. I am constantly wagging my tail, which was something that I didn’t do when I first came. I absolutely LOVE food, and I will do anything to get a treat. Treats and food have been great motivators for helping me learn basic commands. I am doing great with potty training, but sometimes I will submissive pee if I get scared. We are working on this and don’t think that this will be a lifelong issue. I’m just really scared about things still. I have started going on little walks with my foster humans just to get used to walking on a leash and seeing the world. Wow! The world is really big, and there is a lot that is going on in it. I do so great walking on my leash, and I don’t even pull!! I just have to go slow because everything startles me. When I am left out, I don’t even chew on things that I am not supposed to. I have my toys and that’s what I play with. I truly have the greatest personality and am so sweet, but I am just going to need some time to learn how to be a dog and to feel comfortable in this big world. If you think that you could be that person that walks this journey with me, please don’t hesitate to fill out my application. I promise to give you lots of kisses, but I won’t make you cry. Forever my love, George (UPDATED 05/26/20)
