Esme. It sounds like the name that you would give a princess, and that’s exactly what I am! I am about 2 years old, and I am learning so much about the world that I live in. Not much is known about my life prior to coming to the rescue, but it’s been made very clear that I wasn’t exposed to much in my short life. So many things are new to me, but I am taking it all in with the style and grace of a true princess. I do great in my kennel, but it’s not truly where I prefer to be. Like a princess wants to be with her people, so do I. Wherever you are is where I want to be. Whatever you are doing, I want to do it too. I have learned that toys that have stuffing in them are the GREATEST thing ever invented!! Who knew that if you chewed on them long enough and hard enough there was a whole other surprise called stuffing tucked inside!! This makes me so happy when I find this extra surprise in my toys. (Hey, even a princess needs to let her hair down every once in awhile.) I am a very gentle soul for being so young, but all I want is love and time with you. I am VERY curious about the world that I am exposed to. Not in a bad way, but I just want to learn, and learn, and learn some more. I just take in every moment I get like a sponge. I love water! That’s something that was a surprise to me too! Who knew that it could be so refreshing and nice to be in and around. I get along great with dogs, and I love the chance to learn from them as well; such great teachers. My foster brother is amazing at showing me the ropes. Initially, we thought that I’d be okay with cats because I seemed to have a low prey drive, but I just needed to settle in a little more, and it was discovered that I just a little too curious about them, so it’s best for everyone that I not have them as friends. It’s said that I have the perfect balance of energy and demeanor. If you are looking to go for a walk, a hike, or just be outdoors being active, then I’m your girl. If you want to have a lazy day at home and just sit and binge watch some TV, then I’m your girl. What can I say other than I am the perfect princess, short of that whole stuffing out of the toy issue, but that’s just my “let my hair down” side of me. If you think that you could handle a little princess in your life, don’t confuse that with a diva please because I am not a diva, then head on over and fill out an application for me, and I’ll ride over in my carriage, yes I have one, and we will do a little meet and greet to see how things go. Until then, I’m going to hang out here and just “let my hair down” a little more until my people catch on to what I am doing, and then, snap! it’s back to princess mode. :) Forever a princess, Esme (UPDATED 11/19/20)
