Duke. A duke is the member of nobility that ranks just below the monarch. A duke is a ruler of a county, territory or domain. Hello! My name is Duke. I'm 2 years old, 53 lbs, and I’m the leader of my domain, but in a loving and gentle way. I’ve had a rough go at things over the last year, but things are looking up. I was adopted, then found myself alone and confused in a shelter, and then I came to the rescue, so I am still adjusting, but I’m doing good. I’m a little on the shyer side, but extremely sweet and love to snuggle, so I hope that you are truly prepared for that!!! Just as a duke is the leader of his castle, this is the same with me. I LOVE kids and other people, but I need to be the only dog in your life, and I don’t get along with cats. I truly am looking for my best friend in life. I’m potty and crate trained, and I do good on a leash. I may be short and stout, but I am packed full of love to give!!
