Hello future family! My name is Duke but my foster mom and siblings call me Dukie Duke. I am roughly 5 years old and a big lover. I like to always be with and around my family, I will follow you and always be by your side. I love attention and lots of cuddles but I can relax and lay on the floor too. I do really well with children except for the occasional jumping up if you are taller then me, I love hugs. I hardly bark, my foster mom has only heard me twice. I'm doing excellent in my kennel as long as you bribe me with hot dogs first. I truly aim to please and have been working hard with my training. I now know sit (I even sit before meeting a new person or dog), heel, drop it, leave it, and I'm working on stay and shake. I'm treat motivated but I don't like peanut butter. Some things my mom and siblings are correcting with me is learning about personal space/bubbles, not jumping, and not being mouthy with hands. I'm not quite sure what to think of the cats here, they scare me a little and I'm quite curious but never aggressive. I will need slow introductions to feline friends. I've done well meeting female dogs, even small ones, my foster mom isn't sure about male dogs yet. I'm a really good boy who would love a forever family that has had experience with owning a dog before. I really love men, my foster mom thinks I had a male owner before coming to the shelter and then this awesome rescue, but I do good with females too!
