Hi! I’m Dipper… but around here they call me Baxter. Apparently I just have Baxter energy, whatever that means. Honestly, I’ll answer to either name if it comes with a smile, a belly rub, or maybe a treat.

I like to think I’m a pretty independent guy… but don’t tell anyone that’s mostly an act. My favorite place is wherever my people are. I’ll happily do my own thing for a bit, then wander over to check on you. And when my puppy batteries run low? I’m absolutely sneaking in for a cuddle.

I’m a happy-go-lucky pup who thinks the world is full of friends I just haven’t met yet. Kids? Love ‘em. Dogs? Yep! Cats? They’re pretty cool too. We even have a Green-winged Macaw in my foster home, and we’re friends too! If you have a heartbeat (or feathers or whiskers), chances are we’re going to get along.

Speaking of friends… I’m kind of a local celebrity. My foster mom owns a shop in downtown St. Paul, and I get to “work” with her almost every day. I meet about 20 new people a day, and I make it my personal mission to brighten every one of their days. Some people even stop in just to see me! I’d say I’m pretty good at making friends.

Since I’m still a puppy, I’m working hard on the important stuff. I’m learning to walk nicely on a leash, I’m getting better every day with potty training, and I’m practicing good manners like sitting before meals and waiting politely at doorways. Between you and me… I think my foster mom just checks the doorway first because she’s making sure there aren’t any monsters out there.

I wasn’t too sure about my crate at first, but now it’s become my cozy little bedroom. I eat my meals there, keep a few favorite toys inside, and one of the family cats likes to nap nearby, which makes it feel even more like home.

My foster family tells me I’m a really special boy because I learn fast, love with my whole heart, and wake up every day excited to see what adventure comes next. I may still have a little puppy polish left to do, but I’m already an expert at making people smile.
