Dicey is a sweet, sensitive, happy little pitty with a heart of gold. She’s a quick learner and very eager to please - she’ll do anything for a treat! Her favorite thing is just to be a part of the action and near her people. She’d love to be with someone who is home often to hang with her, but also does well in her kennel for shorter periods of time.
This silly girl has a busy mind and likes to have something to do (or chew, or smell!). She loves to be outside to play and run around, so would love a fenced yard. When she’s in a mellow mood, she is a champion snuggle bug! Cuddles on the couch are a favorite, along with snuggling by your side in bed. Can’t get close enough!
Dicey had a rough start to her life, so she can be unsure about new noises and experiences. She needs someone with patience who will remind her that she’s loved and safe. One thing she’s still working on is meeting new people - it can be pretty overwhelming for her, but she’s made lots of progress and just needs time and reassurance. As far as meeting dogs, slow intros are key. She gets along great with her canine foster brother, but it took some time. She’d do great with another playful dog, or as an only pup! No cats or other small critters, though, as she has a high prey drive.
Sweet Dicey has been working hard to be your forever friend! She’s taken several training classes and has learned so much. She is loving life and can’t wait to meet you! And bonus - she comes with a built in doggie sitter because her foster mama will miss her very much!
