Meet Craig!

Before coming to Unbreakabull, Craig landed at animal control as a stray. He was loved by volunteers because of his sweet nature and he loved getting out of the shelter to go on field trips where he could decompress a bit. Craig was experiencing severe kennel stress in the shelter, which landed him on the euthanasia list. Thankfully, Unbreakabull took a chance on him, and he was able to make it out of the shelter and get a chance at living his best life!

Craig is a well-trained, intelligent dog seeking an experienced and dedicated adopter who can provide the structure, leadership, and consistency he thrives on. He has completed professional training and knows all his basic commands. He is leash trained, crate trained, and potty-trained. He is also trained to the treadmill, muzzle, and e-collar, and works well within a clear, calm routine.

Craig is deeply loyal and forms strong bonds with his people. While he can be a bit reserved at first, he opens up into a devoted and affectionate companion once he feels secure. He aims to please and enjoys being part of his human’s daily activities, whether that’s training sessions, walks, or simply relaxing nearby. He also does well occupying himself when needed and appreciates having bones or toys to keep busy.

Craig must be the only pet in the home. He is not compatible with other dogs or cats and has a strong prey drive. Because of this, he will require a single-family home with a securely fenced yard—preferably privacy fenced—to safely enjoy outdoor time. He is not suited for apartment or town home living. His ideal adopter will have prior experience with his breed or similar breeds and understand the importance of daily exercise and mental stimulation, and who can meet those needs reliably.

A structured environment, consistent expectations, and an active lifestyle will be key to his continued success. Craig has not been exposed to children and would do best in an adult-only home, or possibly one with older, respectful teens after thoughtful introductions. He has shown no issues with humans, however a home with young children will likely be too exciting and over stimulating for him.

For the right home, Craig will be a steadfast, loving, and deeply loyal partner.
