Meet Cinta - a very special dog looking for a very special foster or adopter!!

Cinta's favorite thing in the whole world is snuggling. It is absolutely his love language. He is good on the leash but can get spooked so a martingale collar is best for him. He needs a quiet home, probably without cats, or for sure at least only dog savvy cats. Cinta is very food motivated, which is great because brain games are key for him right now. He doesn’t know how to play with toys. He has been practicing with some treat dispensing toys or stuffies tucked inside something with treats.

Another dog friend that is patient would really help Cinta. He lacks so much confidence so he tends to look to and follow other dogs but if they are not nice to him, it will not benefit him at all.

Cinta should never be off leash outside because he is a potential flight risk even in a fenced yard. He has scaled fences to try to get out but again a dog friend would help him enjoy his outside time.

He’s calm and quiet for the most part and does great at having no potty accidents when you are consistent with potty times. He doesn’t love the kennel, but he is enjoying it more with some busy treats to keep him company. Big fan of fuzzy blankets and also heated ones!

Cinta seems to attach strongly to one person, but he’s doing a good job gaining trust from a second person. When his preferred human isn’t home, he will seek out comfort from the backup and accept pets with some caution. Patience and equal sharing of time and care are absolutely mandatory for him. He is very sweet and just needs people willing to be patient and help him gain confidence in the world.

Cinta is terrified of men and kids so he would do best in a home that was woman only and no kids. He can make friends, we do believe as he gains confidence, but that will be down the road.

As we said in the beginning, Cinta needs a special home and a special person(s). We are hoping that this is possible for him and he can finally have his happily ever after, as life has not been very kind to him before rescue. Cinta was living on the streets with someone that wasn't mentally well so he has endured a lot, and he needs to understand that a real home is not scary and real love is ok.
