Cinder enjoys the finer things in life: finding the biggest stick to chew on, zooming around the backyard with a toy, chomping on crabgrass (junior gardener!), any and all dog treats, and of course most importantly loving his humans. Cinder’s early life is a bit of an unknown — he was found tied to a pole, abandoned in the chilly Minnesota winter. From there he was brought to MACC, where he was later rescued by Unbreakabull. Despite an unfair beginning, Cinder is so loving and loyal.

Cinder loves going on walks and having playtime — both great outlets for his energy! He has fantastic leash manners and is truly an excellent walking companion. He takes his time and stops to smell the roses (literally)! He’s a big fan of "sniffaris" and occasionally brings home a stick trophy to commemorate the journey. He’d probably make a great running/hiking buddy, frisbee player, or treadmill enthusiast if that’s more your speed. Cinder would love an active family that provided him with opportunities to exercise his mind and body to be his best self!

This boy is happiest when he’s right by your side. He can try to test boundaries at first and see what he can get away with, so he’d do best with a confident handler who can provide structure and continue his training. He’s smart, goofy, and full of love, but when he gets overstimulated, he can become jumpy and mouthy. The good news? He’s made great progress in his foster home! He’s learning impulse control, embracing his zen side, and discovering that life doesn’t always have to be lived at full speed. It helps that he’s so smart and willing to learn, especially if treats are involved!

Meeting new people is one of Cinder’s strong suits — he’s polite, sweet, and remains calm without being overly excitable or jumpy. He regularly receives compliments not only on his good behavior but also on how beautiful he is! Cinder also loves his dog friends — sometimes a little too much. His play style is best described as “rowdy little freight train,” and he’s still figuring out that not every dog appreciates cosplaying WWE. Because he’s still learning how to read the room, he’d do best with a tolerant, confident dog and slow intros (for their sake, haha). In his foster home, he’s learning how to co-exist with his temporary canine siblings and he’s been doing well. For a short stint, Cinder also lived with 8 cats (yes, you read that right!) and did a good job respecting boundaries with the more dog savvy cats.

Cinder is a diamond in the rough — with a little bit of polishing this boy will shine. If you want to be the lucky human to love this chonky-headed goofball, be sure to apply to meet him today!
