GOOD with all dogs, NO cats, GOOD with kids
Hello there! My name is Charlie, and I am 2 years old. My beginning story is one of sadness, neglect, and fear, but the ending of my story is going to be so very different! My journey now is filled with hope, peace, love, and the forever feeling of home. Where I was living before I came to the rescue was very bad. I was left outside all the time, never brought in the house, and over bred. I was rescued when it was found that I was going to be put down by my owner along with 2 of my 4 puppies because I was no longer needed or wanted, and my two girls were extras. The rescue tried to obtain the other 2 girls, but they were not successful because my owner wanted to keep them for breeding. While this story is full of sadness, and there was nothing that could be legally done, the rescue people did the best that they could do. Now to the amazing part of my story! My two little girls were adopted and are living their forever lives with their new families, so it’s all about me now. My foster mom says that I have the sweetest disposition of any dog she has ever seen! You would never know that my life was what it was. I get along with dogs of all ages and sizes. I sleep in my kennel all night, and I only cry for a moment if I can’t see you when I am in it, but even then, it’s only for less than a couple of minutes, and I quiet right down. I let my foster family know when I have to go outside to go potty as well!! When it comes to cats, that is a no for me. I like to chase them and other small animals. I am learning to walk on a leash and am easily distracted by little critters around me, so I am needing someone that can redirect me and work on this with me, but other than that, I love going on walks. I am going to be spayed as soon as I can, so I am not going to be ready to go to my forever home until that is done, but if you are interested in loving me for the rest of my life and want that forever best friend, then head on over and fill out my application.
