BONES!
GOOD with dogs, GOOD with cats, GOOD with kids 10+
Hey everyone!! My name is Bones. Man am I sure glad to be in my foster home! My last place was a doozy! I was found by some amazing people who rescued me from the life I had. I was living in a closet and had very little food and water when I went to the shelter. I got the name Bones because I was so skinny, but look at me now!! I am up to 30 lbs!!! I am 2 years old, so I might do a little more growing, but I am happy to be where I am now. Well, now that the icky part of my life is out of the way, and I’m finally safe and happy, let me tell you a little about myself. I’m just a little guy. I’m not going to be a big guy like some of my other dog friends, but that’s okay, because awesome things come in tiny packages I’m told. Despite where I came from, I LOVE people!!!! I am learning that just because one person was not nice doesn’t mean that all people are not nice. I went to a training program for a month to work with some professionals to make sure that I wasn’t going to have any issues coming from my prior situation, and I passed with flying colors!!! The only issue I have is that I can sometimes be stubborn, but it’s not a negative thing or a dangerous thing, just me flexing my desire to be a boss, so I need a strong person to be in charge of me. I love attention and hugs and kisses. I can’t get enough of that stuff. I’m a mush. :) People weren’t sure how I was going to react to other dogs since I didn’t get to hang out with them much, but when I met several dog friends at training of all sizes and genders, I was so in love with them. I wanted to play with them and shower them with kisses. I’m a lover, not a fighter. (I heard someone say that, but I’m not exactly sure what that means. I think it’s good though.) I have also met a cat. You know what a cat is? They are much smaller then me, even though I’m little, and they also walk on 4 legs. They make these meowing sounds when they play, but this cool purring sound when they are happy. I love them!! I have no problems with my crate either. I like that place. It’s comfy, and I know that I am safe when I’m in it, so I’m good there. I’ve also learned how to sit. When I do that, I get treats!!! I’m smart and picked up on that really quick! When it comes to kids, I absolutely love them!! They are suggesting that I go with older kids simply because I can be a little hard headed sometimes. I am not aggressive or mean in the least, but I just sometimes don’t want to give up the item I have or do what I am told in a situation, and this is why they are recommending that I go with someone who can be a strong, dominant handler and tell me when I need to do something after I have decided I’m not in the mood. This isn’t a frequent thing that I do, but it’s something that I can’t be allowed to gain control of. Well, I can’t really think of much else to tell you right now because I’m still learning the ropes of the good life, but let me tell you this, I AM LOVING EVERY MINUTE OF IT!!!! Okay, well, I’m just going to hang out and relax until you get here to pick me up. Sound like a deal? Okay, good. See you soon!!! Love, Bones (07/27/20)
