NEEDS TO BE ONLY DOG, GOOD with kids, NO cats
Benito. What a name!! What I love about my name most is that it means Blessed. Let me tell you, I AM BLESSED!!!! I am 1.4 yrs old. When I came to the shelter, I had been treated poorly by humans, and it looked like I had been attacked by other dogs. The shelter was having a hard time finding someone to take me because of my injuries, but then I was told I was going to a home!!! I was nervous because all I had known of a home was not good, but they assured me that this was going to be a different, yet amazing home. First I had to go to the vet because I had come with so many bite marks on me, and one of my legs was very swollen and didn’t look good. I had an infection in my bone. I was put on some medicine to help treat that, and I am now 100% healthy with no long-term affects!! When I got to my foster home, there were other dogs in the home. While they were super nice to me, I was still learning to trust them, and had a hard time. My foster family took things very slow with the introductions and made things calm so that I got a chance to read their behavior. While I realized that they can be amazing friends to me at times, it was decided that in the home I need to be the only dog. I can meet other dogs on walks and have absolutely no problem, but there is something that makes me uneasy in the house, so we’ve decided it was best to be alone. When it comes to cats and smaller animals, I liked to chase them, so I can’t be around them. I am potty trained, and I know that my crate is a safe and happy place now. Since I now know that most people truly are so nice, I want to be with them. I LOVE to cuddle!!! Who knew that people could treat you like that?!?!? I am in love with this behavior. I need it and want it all the time. I also love to do zoomies! I saw one of the other dogs doing that one day, and it looked like fun, so I tried it, and IT WAS SO AMAZING!!! I get to be all silly and run around like crazy, and it makes the humans laugh. I like hearing people laugh. It makes my heart happy. I am such a good boy, have a great heart, and I am learning what love is every day. I truly feel blessed to be alive and to be safe, so while I am learning to live the best life I can, how about you fill out my Get a New Home Form, that’s code word for my application, so that I can come and love on you and show you how truly blessed I am!!!
