Meet Benatar!
Benatar (a.k.a. Bennie) is a lovable goofball with a huge heart and even bigger cuddles to give. This young pup is full of energy, curiosity, and affection. He loves nothing more than snuggling up for a puppy massage and handing out kisses like it's his job.

Benatar is still learning the ropes of being a well-mannered companion, so he’s looking for a patient and active family who can provide him with consistent structure, routine, and plenty of exercise and training. He thrives when he knows what to expect and has outlets for his playful energy.

Because Bennie is still mastering impulse control, he does best when directly supervised. When he’s not being watched, he should be in a crate—thankfully, he’s crate-trained and usually goes in willingly, happy to chew on toys or relax.

Benatar is a curious explorer who loves walks, stopping frequently to sniff around and plop into the grass for a nibble or a break. He’s particularly fascinated by birds, people, bikes, and scooters. He's also got some serious hops—this guy loves to jump and dart around, and would probably thrive in agility training!

Like many young dogs, Benatar can be mouthy and will try to grab shoes, remotes, books—basically anything within reach. He redirects easily with a stuffed toy and is making great progress with positive reinforcement.

Benatar is a little shy when meeting new people, especially men, and may bark at first. But give him a little time and he warms right up—soon enough he’s the star of the show! His foster mom takes him to volleyball games where he’s been meeting lots of new people and learning that strangers can be friends, too.

This smart boy already knows “sit” and is eager to learn more. Benatar is looking for an adopter who sees his potential, is ready to help him continue growing, and most importantly—loves snuggles.
