If you're looking for a best friend with a heart of gold, I think we should meet. My favorite things in the world are snuggling with my humans, soaking up the sunshine, and just being close to the people I love. If you're outside relaxing, you'll probably find me stretched out nearby, enjoying the warm sun right beside you. I've been told I'm pretty handsome (I won't argue with that!), but what I really hope you'll notice is how much love I have to give. I've had a rough start and have been passed around quite a bit, including spending time in a scary shelter. More than anything, I'm just looking for a place where I finally belong—a safe, patient, and loving home that will be my forever.

I'm great with cats and some other dogs! I can be very selective with other dogs, and probably would do best as an only dog, or with extremely slow intros with a female dog.

I'll be honest about one thing—I can be a little unsure on walks. Sometimes something spooks me, and I just stop and don't want to keep going. I need someone who's patient, understanding, and willing to help me build my confidence. I promise I'm trying.

I listen really well when I need a little correction, and I always want to make my people happy. I'll let you know if I think something seems suspicious, but once I realize everything is okay, I settle down pretty quickly. Because I've been through so many changes, I can get a little anxious when my people aren't nearby. I just love being close to the ones I trust.
